BABEL research project

BABEL is a research project on BAsic income in BELgium. The BABEL project will provide a detailed analysis of a set of basic income proposals and their cousins in the context of the Belgian welfare state. We draw on advanced statistical methods and experiments, make innovative use of administrative data, collect new data on popular support for basic income, and adopt a concrete, hands-on approach to implementation trajectories of feasible basic income proposals.

The researchers working on the project are based at the University of Leuven, the University of Antwerp, and the University Saint-Louis Brussels.
